With doomsday approaching, many Americans across the land can be heard crying, “I’m running away to Canada!” But is it really so easy to relocate to the land of Tim Horton’s coffee and thirsty prime ministers? Is Canada, as Stephen Colbert says, just “America’s safety school”? Well, the Late Show host spoke to an immigration lawyer to find out what it would take to move to our neighbor to the north. It doesn’t go so well at first, when Colbert has to answer questions about the Canadian government, but the tide really starts to turn in his favor when he proves he can sing Gordon Lightfoot songs on command.
