When the young cast of Stranger Things went on its summer charm offensive to promote Netflix’s breakout sci-fi horror series, we couldn’t help but think, “Awww, but what about Will Byers?” As the rest of his tween co-stars appeared all over late-night TV and at conventions and on Facebook Live streams, hosing each other down with silly string and playing fun trivia games, Noah Schnapp was nowhere to be found. Poor Will gets trapped in the Upside Down, which wasn’t even his fault, and he gets back, and you guys just stop inviting him to things?

In a good bit of news for those on Team Will Byers, Schnapp’s status on Stranger Things has been upped from “recurring role” to “series regular” for season two, and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the same goes for Joe Kerry (who plays Steve Harrington). You hear that, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and especially you, Millie Bobby Brown? Will Byers is coming back to run the Hawkins A.V. Club. And Will Byers doesn’t forget. THR also reports that your next favorite unknown actors will be Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery; they’ll join the cast as series regulars named Max and Billy, a brother and sister pair who will presumably be swept up in the supernatural goings-on of Indiana’s most unassuming hellmouth.
