Fresh Off the Boat co-executive producer Sanjay Shah has a new show in the works at ABC. According to Deadline, the network is developing an untitled comedy written and produced by Shah about “an idealistic but street-stupid Berkeley grad who takes his first job teaching hardcore felons at a prison.” The project is based on Shah’s own experiences teaching at San Quentin State Prison. In addition to Fresh Off the Boat, Shah has worked as a writer and/or producer on King of the Hill, Cougar Town, and Enlisted.
