An upcoming Law & Order: SVU episode revolving around a Donald Trump–inspired politician has been pushed back again from its scheduled November 16 airdate, and will instead air on NBC sometime in early 2017, Deadline reports. The episode, which was meant to riff on a lawsuit alleging that Trump raped a 13-year-old girl in the 1990s, stars Gary Cole as a wealthy politician whose campaign gets unexpectedly derailed when he’s accused of sexual assault; its airdate was initially pushed to November after the election following new sexual-assault allegations that were made against the Republican candidate. Deadline notes, however, that the episode’s postponement this time has nothing to do with Trump’s shocking presidential victory the schedule change was in the works days before the election and is a result of NBC changing its Wednesday-night programming slate to reruns to coincide with the final World Series game on Fox. Whether the episode will air before or after the presidential inauguration, on January 20, remains unclear.
