After a more-than-moderate amount of buildup, including the release of four singles, an appearance on SNL, and a short film, the Weeknd’s new album, Starboy, has just dropped on streaming services, Pitchfork reports. It’s the buzzy follow up to last year’s Grammy-winning Beauty Behind the Madness, and the Toronto-born artist’s third studio album overall. The 18 tracks include contributions from Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar (who the Weeknd earlier called “a genius,” in an interview with Beats 1), Daft Punk, and Future. Stream the album via Spotify, below, and find out if it lives up to the hype.
