You might be holding out hope but sadly, no, they were not saying “The Boo-ss! The Boo-ss!” Huffington Post political reporter S.V. Date reported Sunday that Bruce Springsteen’s classic American working-man anthems “Glory Days” and “Born in the USA” were met with shouts and jeers at a Trump rally. As you might have heard, Springsteen has been a vocal Trump opponent, and is scheduled to play a pro-Clinton rally tonight in Philadelphia. A cheer reportedly went up from the Trump crowd when the songs were abruptly cut off. If you’re a Trump fan limited to pro-Trump musical acts, apparently you’re only free to enjoy Ted Nugent and whatever Scott Baio can come up with noodling around in his garage on Saturdays. As a great man once wrote in the 1973 song “Rosalita,” “Someday we’ll look back on this and it will all seem funny.” That man was Bruce Springsteen and honestly, probably not.
