Despite rumors to the contrary, Vince Neil will not be performing at Donald Trump’s 2017 Presidential Inauguration party as some people, including Vince Neil, previously believed. “I was asked to do the inauguration two months ago no matter who won,” the Mötley Crüe member told TMZ, a statement that begs the question, “What?” The front man explained: “As far as I knew, we were playing. It turns out when the Republicans won, we were uninvited. I didn’t know about the Democratic part of asking us to play. I assumed … it didn’t matter who won, it would still be a party. I guess there is more politics in bands playing than I thought there was.” While Neil won’t be performing on January 20, he already has a pretty full plate in the coming year. The singer is both set to appear on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Apprentice in January and must undergo impulse-control counseling for attacking a woman in Las Vegas back in April.
