Following a crushing presidential defeat to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton delivered an emotional concession speech to the public on Wednesday morning from the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan. (While Clinton called Trump by phone to concede earlier this morning, she had yet to offer a public statement until now.) After an introduction from her running mate Tim Kaine, Clinton took the stage and urged supporters to keep fighting for change, but also to keep an open mind and accept the presidency of Donald Trump. She closed on an inspirational note, telling all the young women who looked up to her that her defeat shouldn’t get them down: “To all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and to achieve your own dreams,” she said. Watch the speech, which starts with Kaine’s introduction around the 37-minute mark, below.
