Donald Trump never won any Emmys, but he did win a joke “Emmy Idol” segment during the 2006 Emmy ceremony thanks to a performance of a parody version of the Green Acres song with Megan Mullally. As Mullally explained on The Late Show, Trump was completely obsessed with winning what, we repeat, was basically a joke segment that he called her afterward to congratulate her. Now that Trump has been elected president, Mullally deeply regrets that she ever helped him win anything, especially since — who knows? — maybe seeing Trump making fun of farmers won over a bunch of white working-class voters.
