Long live the surprise album.

The good news: Future has announced a surprise new self-titled album and you’ll have to endure a long wait to receive it – three days! It’s out on Friday, just in time to erase from memory the other bit of music the prolific rapper released this week. The bad news: That other new song is a guest verse on Maroon 5’s new song, “Cold” — off their apparent rap-feature only new album — that has him sounding completely unaffected by a breakup. (An alternate reality.) According to the track list, Future’s new album will have 17 songs, which is 17 chances to get over this “Cold.”
