Netflix is rebooting the ‘90s animated series The Magic School Bus, and they’ve landed the perfect comedian to voice Ms. Frizzle. According to The Hollywood Reporter, SNL’s Kate McKinnon has signed on to voice Ms. Frizzle in the upcoming reboot, which Lily Tomlin voiced in the original series. The reboot will follow Frizzle and her class in a new “inventive high-tech bus” and “highlight the latest tech innovations such as robotics, wearables and camera technology to – like in the original series – encourage children’s interest in science.” Between this and her role in the upcoming film The Lunch Witch, it seems safe to say McKinnon has locked in a whole new generation of fans.
