A Love Actually Short Film Reunion Is Coming Our Way

Just because it’s February, and in February you tell the truth … we’re getting a Love Actually reunion, people. A handful of the actors from the love-it-or-loathe-it 2003 romantic comedy — Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke, and Rowan Atkinson — will be reuniting with the film’s writer-director Richard Curtis for a short film to sponsor the annual Red Nose Day in the U.K. (It’s the same children’s fundraiser that got Ramsay Bolton to do a musical number and Margot Robbie to do another bathtub reading.) Dubbed Red Nose Day Actually, the ten-minute short film promises to revisit the film’s respective characters, see “who has aged best,” and “discover what they’re up to in 2017.” It’s going to air on NBC on May 25, which gives you plenty of time to ponder why Emma Thompson won’t be participating in this once-in-a-lifetime engagement.
