Apparently Donald Trump telling Iran they are “on notice” was the final straw for Stephen Colbert last night, who is clearly completely fed up now with the newly elected president stealing pretty much everything that made his old Comedy Central show and character unique. During last night’s Late Show, Colbert responded to Trump’s “on notice” comment by bringing back the classic Colbert Report segment Trump is clearly inspired by: the “On Notice” board. “And this is not the first time has ripped me off,” Colbert notes. “I came up with the whole over-the-top TV character who’s desperate to be loved, doesn’t believe in facts, and has a pet eagle. That’s mine. Plus we both ran for president, only one of us knew it was a joke.”
