The Late Show is going live later this month. According to Deadline, Stephen Colbert will host a live episode of Late Show on Tuesday, February 28th – the same night Donald Trump is scheduled to address Congress. Colbert will be joined by Lisa Kudrow and former White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.
Colbert went live several times last year with the Democratic and Republican conventions, presidential and vice presidential debates, and most recently his Showtime election night special. Trump’s presidency has given a pretty impressive boost to The Late Show this year. Notably, Colbert has been beating Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show in total viewers for the past two weeks – a first for The Late Show since its debut back in 2015.
