An order of protection has been granted to Don McLean’s ex-wife Patrisha against the “American Pie” singer. A Maine court granted the order, which lasts two years, after McLean pleaded guilty to domestic violent assault last year. At the time, McLean avoided jail time and was required to pay a $3,000 fine. The former couple split in 2016, with Patrisha McLean citing “adultery, cruel and abusive treatment, and irreconcilable differences” in the divorce filing.
