The Late Late Show With James Corden But Without a Woman Does Not Go Well

Back when The Late Late Show was under Craig Ferguson’s tutelage, bad lightning was kind of a thing, so much so that Ferguson frequently joked about working in a basement. But with James Corden, The Late Late Show has been a bright and shiny affair, so why did Wednesday’s show open on naught but a shadowy silhouette? The show apparently observed A Day Without a Woman, and true to the spirit of the strike, nothing worked. Also true to the spirit, the male Corden had a slight meltdown. As it turns out, though, if you just go little-kid-in-an-elevator with the control room, that’s about the same as having a full staff.
