According to Last Week Tonight host John Oliver, when it comes to alleged communications between Trump surrogates and Russian officials, it’s not a question of what President Trump knew and when he knew it, but rather, what did President Trump know and when did he know about anything regarding the government and how it works? During Sunday night’s episodem Oliver investigated the latest ripple in the controversies surrounding the 45th president, or as Oliver calls it, “Stupid Watergate,” including the less-than-forthright nature of some of Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s comments. Though there are plenty of questions left unanswered, one thing is clear — certain Trump surrogates might have trouble near polygraph tests.
