No need to worry about Demogorgons over at the Peacock … right? Shannon Purser, who won over the hearts of Netflix subscribers during her brief stint on last summer’s smash success Stranger Things, has landed a recurring role in the new NBC drama series Drama High. Per Deadline, the hour-long series revolves around the true story of a working-class high school’s drama department “and the incredible students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town.” Purser’s role, which was created with her specifically in mind, has her portraying a hard-working student at the school who wants to make the cast of Spring Awakening “despite not fitting the exact mold of what everyone has in mind.” Knowing her, she’ll definitely get some justice.
