La vida is about to get even more loca in the Murphyverse. It was announced today that Ricky Martin will join Versace: American Crime Story as Antonio D’Amico, the longtime partner of Gianni Versace, whom Versace was dating at the time of his murder in 1997. Martin will play opposite Édgar Ramírez as Gianni, Penélope Cruz as Donatella Versace, and Darren Criss in the role of murderer Andrew Cunanan. Production on this season of American Crime Story is scheduled to start this month, but just like the interminable distance between now and Ocean’s 8, you’ll have to wait until 2018 to see it.
