Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers takes “A Closer Look” at yesterday’s bizarre Cabinet meeting where Trump made everyone openly praise him: “Is there anything creepier than watching Trump make his staff go around the room and praise him? Even Kim Jong-un is like ‘Dude, have some self-respect,’” Meyers says. He also covers the ongoing attacks by Trump and his administration against fired FBI Director James Comey despite the fact that Trump’s own supporters, including his son, have admitted that Comey’s testimony regarding Trump telling him to let the Michael Flynn investigation go and pledge his loyalty is true. That frames the whole situation as ultimately Trump’s word against Comey’s – not exactly a great matchup for Trump, considering his long, proven track record of lying. “He just can’t help himself. He’s like a husband who denies cheating on his wife but also wants credit for getting laid.”
