ABC has a new show in the works about a small-town serial killer. According to Variety, the network has put into development a single-cam ensemble comedy titled Boring, OR, which centers on a police officer named Jonna “who is determined to stop the killings while the rest of the townspeople remain dead set on not letting it affect their day-to-day lives.” UCB alum Stephen Soroka will write, and Jack Black is credited as an executive producer. Boring, OR joins several comedy projects recently put into development at ABC including The Real Fairy Godmother, a show from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and the Larry Wilmore/Viola Davis-produced Black Don’t Crack.
