Mike Schur has another television project in development. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has given a put-pilot commitment to a single-camera comedy executive produced by Schur and written by bestselling author Shea Serrano based on Serrano’s life “growing up in a family with five uncles who all have different perspectives on manhood.” The untitled series is the first TV project for Serrano, who wrote the 2015 book The Rap Year Book: The Most Important Rap Song From Every Year Since 1979, Discussed, Debated, and Deconstructed and more recently Basketball (and Other Things): A Collection of Questions Asked, Answered, Illustrated. In addition to the ABC show, Schur is also behind two comedies in development at NBC that were announced last month.
