NBC wants more of The Office. Sources have confirmed to Variety and TVLine that the network is looking to revive the series for the 2018-2019 season. The revival would still be set at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mufflin but feature “a mix of new and old cast members” – Steve Carell, however, would not be involved, and NBC is reportedly looking to cast someone new for the role of the Dunder Mifflin regional manager. Back in August, NBC exec Bob Greenblatt cited The Office as one of the shows he’d most like to bring back: “We often talk about The Office,he told Deadline. “I’ve talked to Greg [Daniels] four times over the past few years. It’s always, ‘Maybe some day but not now.’ There is certainly an open invitation but we don’t have anything happening right now. If he wants to do it, I would do it.”
