Fresh off her Oscar nomination for co-writing The Big Sick, Emily V. Gordon has landed another movie gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gordon has signed on to write a movie for Amazon called The Nest. The film is based on Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney’s 2016 novel of the same name and follows “the dysfunctional Plumb family. After years of simmering tensions that finally reach a breaking point, Melody, Beatrice, and Jack Plumb gather to confront their charismatic and reckless older brother, Leo, whose reckless actions have endangered the family trust fund.” Transparent’s Jill Soloway is attached as a producer.
