Here’s a clip from last night’s Conan, where O’Brien chats with Disjointed star Kathy Bates about the challenge of acting stoned on a television show. It’s not exactly a challenge for Bates, though, who goes on to give O’Brien an easy tip for how to pull it off: uncontrollable laughter. “My guy wasn’t stoned, my guy was having a nervous breakdown. That’s what I was doing – where you’re just crying and laughing at the same time,” O’Brien says of his performance. “I don’t call that a nervous breakdown,” Bates replies. “I call that the happiest part of life.” Watch some more clips from the interview below:
