The fan casters may be scoring a big win in the sequel to It, with Variety reporting that Jessica Chastain is in talks to play adult Beverly Marsh. After the movie quickly became a sensation last fall, chatter immediately started about who should play the grown versions of the lovable Losers Club members. Chastain emerged as a favorite for Beverly, and the fact that she became close with It director Andy Muschietti and his sister/producing partner, Barbara, when they worked together on Mama made that casting pitch feel pretty realistic. Sophia Lillis, the actress who played young Beverly, said her top choice would be Chastain, and the Molly’s Game star has expressed multiple times that she would like to be part of the sequel as long as all the scheduling “variables” could work out. “They’re my friends. Anything they are doing, I want to be a part of,” Chastain told ScreenRant about the Muschiettis. “I hope we can make it happen.” She also assured the Wrap that she could “kick any clown’s ass.” She may get the chance!
