Lindy West’s 2016 memoir Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman might turn into a comedy series at Hulu starring SNL’s Aidy Bryant. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bryant and Lorne Michaels are developing a single-cam comedy based on the memoir, which Bryant would also star in. The adaptation is described as “the story of a fat young woman who wants to change her life, but not her body.” Bryant co-wrote the adaptation with West and Ali Rushfield, and Elizabeth Banks is credited as an executive producer. No word yet on whether the project means Bryant is leaving SNL after season 43; she’s been a cast member since the beginning of season 38 back in 2012.
