Oh God, the emotional journey of Ed Sheeran’s heartbroken puppet dopplegänger raises a lot of questions in the singer’s new “Happier” music video. Can puppets be that sad? Do they, too, drink to forget? Does this mean a lonely Oscar the Grouch could be sobbing himself to sleep inside his trash can? In a related line of questioning, if a balloon woman gets loose and flies away, is that the balloon person equivalent of death? This is a tough one, Ed. Great work.
