Mark Duplass and Ray Romano Declare Bromances Canceled

By

While some critics might be eager to classify Paddleton as a bromance, the film’s stars Mark Duplass and Ray Romano will have none of it. Sitting down with Vulture’s Matt Rogers at Sundance, Duplass laid into the word’s homophobic undertones. “In my opinion bromance has a little bit of gay panic involved into it,” he said, noting how weird it is to insinuate that men having close friends is “almost like they’re gay.” Like, hey guess what? People can have friends. Ray Romano is friends with Awkwafina now even. We’re all friends! Calm down.
