The 2019 Oscars definitely and unmistakably do not have a host, but thankfully, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Maya Rudolph took the stage at the opening of the show to explain what they would have done had they taken the job. Obviously, they were great, and having the three of them trade rapid-fire punch lines about some of the nominees was actually a great way to open the show. They even managed to squeeze in a current-events update and remind us that a true friend is someone who will hold your boobs while you talk.
