Spooky streaming service Shudder announced today that its new anthology series, Creepshow, will feature adaptations of Stephen King and Joe Hill stories. Creepshow is based on the anthology movie by King and late great horror auteur/yinzer George Romero. The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero will executive produce and direct. “Having the opportunity to embrace the spirit of Creepshow and expand on what George and Steve created is, without a doubt, a lifelong dream come true,” said Nicotero in Entertainment Weekly. “Having grown up in Pittsburgh, Creepshow lives in a special place for me. I had the good fortune to visit the set as a teenager. I was able to look behind the curtain of filmmaking, and it changed me forever.” No word yet on whether King will be reprising his role as “Hillbilly Who Turns Into Moss,” but fingers crossed.
