After suffering a stroke last Wednesday, ’90s Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob and beloved Riverdale dad Luke Perry passed away this morning. He was 52. His reps confirmed in a statement that he was surrounded by his family, and a rep from Riverdale confirmed that the show shut down production for the day.
Perry became a household name for his role as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210, but his most recent turn as Fred Andrews on Riverdale cemented his place as a TV icon across generations.
