Pete Davidson and his most non-Mulaney best friend Machine Gun Kelly recently sat down for a good old fashioned Vanity Fair lie-detector test, during which we were able to learn a lot more about the collective fever dream we’re all having that is Pete Davidson’s life. First, he and the rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, had a lovely Christmas together with Baker’s daughter. Aw. But then, we learned that when Davidson attended Kid Cudi’s birthday dinner with Kanye West and Timothée Chalamet, he picked up the entire tab by accident. “I already like put my card down to pay, because I thought it was just me and Cudi,” he said. “And then like Chalamet showed up, and then Kanye showed up, and I was like ‘oh, $%#@.’” Hopefully everyone Venmo’ed him.
