“Earth” by Lil Dicky is an Earth Day charity single with the charity still TBD. Dicky is collaborating with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to figure out where the profits for his song will go. The song itself is a collab-a-thon. Around 30 celebs voiced a line or two in the seven-minute single, including Ariana Grande as a zebra and Halsey as the lion that eats Ariana Grande’s zebra. Other cameos include Justin Bieber (baboon), Lil Wayne (conch), and Ed Sheeran (koala). The song’s YouTube description lists the guest vocals as belonging to:
Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Zac Brown, Brendon Urie, Hailee Steinfeld, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Adam Levine, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, SIA, Miley Cyrus, Lil Jon, Rita Ora, Miguel, Katy Perry, Lil Yachty, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, Joel Embiid, Tory Lanez, John Legend, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Psy, Kris Wu
Lil Dicky says he hopes the song will bring attention to climate change. If it brings attention to Lil Dicky’s new show on FX, one must surmise that it’s an added bonus.
