Kid Cudi has joined Gary Oldman, Armie Hammer, and Evangeline Lilly in Nicholas Jarecki‘s Dreamland. The film, already shooting in Montreal, attempts to cover every facet of the American opioid crisis in three interweaving stories. Hammer is playing a merciless drug lord moving Fentanyl across the U.S.-Canada border, Lilly is a mother who learns about her son’s drug involvement, and Oldman is a scientist who questions his own morality after his employer seeks to bring a new “non-addictive” painkiller to market. Cudi joins a supporting cast that already includes Luther and Game of Thrones’ Indira Varma, Greg Kinnear, Michelle Rodriguez, and Lily-Rose Depp. Dreamland will premiere some time in 2020.
