The commoners are storming Versailles again, but this time with an even darker impulse in their hearts than revolution: EDM. DJ and former Daft Punk manager Busy P is holding a rave at the palace of the Sun King himself. “Versailles Électro” will feature DJ’s in the Hall of Mirrors, with the adjoining gardens serving as the dance floor. Tickets are as low as 22 euros, but VIP packages include free champagne and an unlimited buffet. (They will literally let you eat cake.) The event will feature many acts from Busy P’s label, Ed Banger Records, who launched Justice and other bands to worldwide fame. French electro luminaries such as Breakbot x Irfane, Myd, and So Me are set to perform. And if they do a bad job? The guillotine, presumably.
