Meet Emily, a girl very much unlike Lauren Conrad. In Paramount Network’s new series Emily in Paris, Lily Collins will be playing the titular role: Emily, “a driven twenty-something from the Midwest who moves to Paris for an unexpected job opportunity.” The series, created by Darren Star, creator of Sex and the City and Younger, is described as a “dramedy” about Emily’s travails in the City of Light after being “tasked with bringing an American point of view to a venerable French marketing firm.” We assume there will also be a plentiful number of hot French love interests (and watching them on TV, you don’t have to deal with lax European deodorant usage). Emily in Paris will start production in Paris later this year and premiere on the Paramount Network in 2020. Bon voyage!
