You may have been eating, breathing, and sleeping the new Solange album since When I Get Home dropped last month, but unfortunately you won’t be seeing it — not headlining at Coachella next weekend anyway. “Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival,” organizers announced on social media Sunday night. “She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.” Interestingly, a similar thing happened following the release of Solange’s 2016 album A Seat At the Table, whereupon the singer had to withdraw from Boston Calling, also for “production delays and complications beyond her control.” Okay, fine, so we have to wait a little while longer for Solange to get her own Netflix concert special. None of us can imagine carrying the weight of Beychella’s legacy on our shoulders. None of us!
