Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams Open Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Wednesday night saw the opening of the newest corner of the happiest place on Earth, the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction at Disneyland. On hand to welcome the park’s first visitors were Disney CEO Bob Iger, George Lucas, Billy Dee Williams, Mark Hamill, the native people of Batuu who apparently welcome us with open arms, and, of course, Chewbacca. There was just one problem: the Millenium Falcon wouldn’t start! Oh no! Luckily, a man who just so happened to have experience fixing this particular model of spaceship was in the crowd, and his name was Harrison Ford. He fixed it by pointing and saying “Peter?” and then he hit it with his hand twice. Just like the Fonz! The new expansion is billed as an immersive experience, and it’s true: they have tunics and blue milk and 14 acres of extremely detailed scenery including custom trees. But also, blue milk!
