Rapper Kodak Black was arrested in Miami Saturday night on weapons charges. According to the Miami Herald, the arrest came after an investigation spearheaded by the ATF. He faces state and federal charges. Kodak was taken into custody at Hard Rock Stadium, shortly before he was supposed to perform at the Rolling Loud music festival. Last month, the rapper was arrested on drug and weapons charges crossing into the U.S. from Canada. He blamed the border crossing into Canadian territory on a faulty GPS. He was also recently arrested for grand theft, marijuana possession, and child neglect. And he is facing a trial in South Carolina for the sexual assault of a high school student.
Update, May 12: Rolling Loud released an official statement to clarify details about the rapper’s arrest. “Kodak Black was not arrested at Rolling Loud,” the statement read. “He was arrested on his way to the festival and we have no knowledge of what led to the arrest since he was not on festival property.”
