After four seasons, Rashida Jones is turning in her gun and her badge. Variety is reporting that the TBS cop spoof Angie Tribeca is done after four seasons. Created by Steve and Nancy Carrell, the show lampooned police procedurals with big Airplane! energy. It was a truly silly show, full of visual puns and Hollywood luminaries making total asses of themselves. Season four of the show was released in December, with guest stars such as Bill Murray, Lisa Kudrow, Keegan Michael-Key, and Natalie Portman. The show was critically polarizing, with some people loving the joke-heavy structure and others wishing there was more story or character connective tissue. Angie Tribeca featured deadpan performances from Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole, Andree Vermeulen, and Bobby Cannavale. Rashida Jones’ next project will be producing Kevin Can F— Himself, about a sitcom wife’s life from her little-seen perspective.
