“Page Six” reported Monday that actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is currently under investigation for allegedly groping a woman at Manhattan’s Magic Hour Rooftop Bar Sunday night. An unnamed 30-year-old accuser phoned police early Monday morning to report the altercation, in which a “highly intoxicated” Gooding allegedly grabbed her breasts. The unwanted touching led to an argument between the American Horror Story: Roanoke actor and the alleged victim that reportedly required security intervention to break up.

After Gooding left the bar, the unnamed woman called 911 around 1 a.m. to file a report. NYPD subsequently confirmed to People that the New York Police Department’s Special Victims Division had opened an investigation into the incident. As of Monday night, the actor has yet to publicly comment on the allegation.

Update, June 13: Cuba Gooding Jr. turned himself in to the NYPD’s Special Victims Division on Thursday, following an accusation of forceful touching. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gooding arrived to a police station around 11 a.m. with his legal team.

On Tuesday night while at LAX, Gooding told TMZ that the accusation was false. “I trust the system and let the process speak for itself,” he said. Mark Heller, Gooding’s attorney, told TMZ that he’d seen surveillance footage from the bar and said it showed “no criminality.”
