According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Hart is looking to get Scrooged. The Secret Life of Pets 2 star is reportedly developing a remake of the 1988 dark Christmas comedy with Paramount. Hart would presumably take on the Bill Murray/Ebenezer Scrooge role in the rumored film, which is, of course, an updated take on Charles Dickens’s heartwarming supernatural holiday tale A Christmas Carol, first published in 1843. The project is currently looking for a writer. You’d think there wouldn’t be a person alive who doesn’t know the true meaning of Christmas at this point, but a quick look around reminds you it wouldn’t be such a bad thing if three ghosts periodically showed up to terrify insanely rich people into having some holiday cheer.
