We would risk it all to watch a film with Booksmart breakout star Kaitlyn Dever and saddest boy on Earth Lucas Hedges, but, for now, we’ll settle for seeing their names side-by-side. Both rays of light will be in B.J. Novak’s FX series Platform, according to Deadline. The twist is: It’s an anthology series where the cast and story change each episode, so it’s unclear if Dever and Hedges will get to share a half-hour onscreen together. Thanks a lot, Ryan Murphy. Platform will highlight specific characters each episode to discuss some of the “boldest issues of our times,” per FX. The pilot is currently in production. Other actors who have signed on are Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Long Shot), comedian George Wallace, and Ed Asner. B.J. Novak will write, direct, executive-produce, and perhaps use some of that power to make sure Dever and Hedges get on the same episode. It doesn’t even matter what they do. Just make it happen for us.
