Fans of the television show, fans who saw the play way back at the Edinburgh Festival, and fans who physically fought to get tickets to see Fleabag at New York’s Soho Playhouse: Rejoice! National Theatre Live, angels of theater who spread a little bit of the United Kingdom’s theater funding across the world, will be broadcasting the play from its current West End run at Wyndham’s Theatre. Fleabag will be shown live in cinemas on September 12, two days before the final show, which will be Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s final performance of the monologue. Information regarding venues and tickets to be released “soon.” Everyone’s favorite “greedy, perverted, selfish, apathetic, cynical, depraved, morally bankrupt woman who can’t even call herself a feminist” might be coming to a movie theater near you. And just in time to celebrate Fleabag the show’s 11 stunning Emmy nominations. [Winks at camera.]
