Time to make $2,464,216 more. (Or rather, $250,000.) Jeopardy! unveiled its roster this afternoon for the show’s annual Tournament of Champions, and in the least surprising confirmation in game-show history, strategic aggressive icon James Holzhauer is poised to return alongside 14 other competitors for the big event. Among them are Emma Boettcher, the librarian who ended Holzhauer’s historic reign with her self-described “whimsical” style of play, and, per tradition, the winners of both the Teachers and College tournaments. As a recap, Holzhauer, a professional sports gambler from Las Vegas, made viewers horny for knowledge during his 32-day winning streak earlier this year, which culminated in crushing many notable Jeopardy! records: Among them, he now holds the top ten spots for single-game winnings. (And he barely got any clues wrong.) The tournament will air between November 4 and 15, so prepare your Holzhauer versus Boettcher chants accordingly.
