Kid Cudi is in basically everything now, so it was only a matter of time before he landed his own series. According to Deadline, the rapper and actor will be releasing two projects entitled Entergalactic this year. One, a follow-up album to 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. The other, an animated series made for the streaming platform with executive producer Kenya Barris.
The upcoming adult animated series will be the Black-ish creator’s third Netflix project so far, following in the footsteps of his comedy co-starring Rashida Jones, Black Excellence, and a comedy series from sketch group Astronomy Club.
Cudi will co-write the Netflix show with How to Make It in America creator Ian Edelman, in addition to starring and producing. The show will feature music from the album version of Entergalactic, which reportedly “follows a young man on his journey to discover love,” just the kind of uplifting, hopeful stuff you’d want Kid Cudi to put in your eyes/ears.
