The Looking for Alaska Teaser Trailer Has All the Teen Angst You Were Hoping For

[Deep breath] Ah, crisp fall leaves, JanSport-backpack nylon, and teen angst rippling through the air. The teaser for Hulu’s limited series Looking for Alaska reeks of youth, with notes of the kind of deep sentiments that 16-year-olds spend hours considering. “Teenagers think they’re invincible,” Alaska Young, our mysterious titular character, says in a voice-over. “They don’t know how right they are.” Based on John Green’s best-selling novel, the series follows Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer) as he navigates a new school and a sudden tragedy. He came “to seek a great perhaps,” but it’s not as easy or wistful as it sounds. Also starring Kristine Froseth (The Society), Looking for Alaska premieres on October 18, just in time to watch it with a Pumpkin Spice Latte instead of studying for the SATs.
