The OG elf prince who singlehandedly inspired the platinum-blond movement is, sadly, removing himself from the Fellowship. Or rather, Amazon Prime’s Fellowship. Orlando Bloom, who portrayed Legolas in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy and the subsequent Hobbit film trilogy, admitted the chances of him reprising his role for Amazon’s (very expensive) television adaptation are slim to none. “I don’t know where I would fit in that world, really,” he told THR. “If you’re saying there’s Legolas, they’ve probably got a 19-year-old kid who’s ready to go. I like to think of myself as ageless, but …” However, Bloom thinks it’s “great” LOTR is getting the Peak TV treatment, even if he doesn’t understand how Amazon will approach all of J. R. R. Tolkien’s complex material. “I haven’t had any conversations about that,” he added. All we’re saying is, that 19-year-old kid better get used to glue in his pointy ear.
