Olivia Wilde got in that director’s chair and said, I’m telling you I’m not going! Variety reports Wilde will helm a domestic thriller called Don’t Worry, Darling, and her Booksmart scribe Katie Silberman will handle the rewrites of its preexisting script. (The original version was written by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.) The plot centers on an unhappy housewife in the 1950s, which seems like a rich foundation for mining the terror out of a repressed heroine. And we don’t want to tell anyone how to do their job, but maybe find a role for Beanie Feldstein again? Or Billie Lourd? Just consider it.
